We Retired on July 28th, 2019!

The time has come for us to close the Canton Barn's doors and it is one of the most bittersweet decisions we've had to make.

Antiques are woven into our very fabric. There is no escaping them for us...from the thrill of the hunt and purchase to the delight in discovering the hidden treasures; from the business of running the auction to our Canton Barn "family" of past & present staff and auction attendees; and then there are those pies!

Thank you for so many incredible years. Thank you to those of you who attended our weekly Saturday night auctions faithfully going back to the years when Richard's father, John, was the auctioneer and his mother, Anne, was the pie baker. And thanks to our newer customers whose love for antiques have recently led them to the Canton Barn's every other week schedule of auctions. Over the decades we have formed many wonderful & lifelong friendships. It has been an honor to be a part of the antiques community and the "Christie's of Canton, CT."

Sincere thanks and deep gratitude to all of our staff throughout our long history, many of whom came to help out for a few weeks and stayed for years. We couldn't have been as successful as we were over the years without such great help. Your loyalty and dedication to showing up every Saturday night was appreciated beyond words.

Our final antique estate auction was held on July 27th. If you have furnished your home or office at the Canton Barn, we invite you to share photos or fond memories on our Facebook page or to email us directly at cantonbarn@aol.com.
A liquidation event will be held later in the year and will be announced on our Canton Barn Facebook page as well as on the Canton Barn website.
